The District 9 male was killed in the initial Cornucopia bloodbath. He was presumably killed by one of the Careers. In the film adaptation however, he is shown fighting Peeta and tries to pull him underwater to drown him. Underwater however, Peeta gets out of his grasp and somehow kills him.
