Liam Hemsworth is an Australian actor who portrayed Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games film.[1] He was born in Melbourne, Australia. He is the son of Leonie, an English teacher, and Craig, a social-services counselor. He is the younger brother of actors Luke and Chris Hemsworth. Chris is in the 2012 remake of Red Dawn alongside The Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson. Hemsworth has also been in Knowing and The Expendables 2.
Hemsworth began acting in 2007. His first lead role was in The Last Song with American singer, Miley Cyrus. They started dating, and on June 6, 2012, the couple announced their engagement. Cyrus stated, "I am so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam."
