Mr. Hawthorne lived in the Seam with his three children (or four, if he had lived) and wife. He did not live to see his daughter, Posy, be born. His wife gave birth to her just after he died. He worked as a coal-miner.
Death
Mr. Hawthorne died in a tragic mine accident along with Mr. Everdeen where he was either vaporized or blown to bits. The event took place five years before the 74th Hunger Games.
Family
Mr. Hawthorne left behind his wife, Hazelle, and his four children; Gale, Rory, Vick and soon-to-be-born Posy Hawthorne.
