Sam Claflin is an English born actor who has been cast to portray the District 4 male tribute, Finnick Odair, in the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.^[1] Claflin was a talented soccer player as a teenager, but after suffering two broken ankles, decided to pursue acting instead. He graduated from LAMDA drama school in 2006. Claflin is best known for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, United and Snow White and the Huntsman. He was also in the short BBC TV series White Heat.
