Would Annie really be considered a "career tribute"? I don't remember her ever being described as such and I never got the impression that she was a career...

Shouldn't Annie's last name be listed as Odair since she married him and probably took his last name? What do you think?

Anna Mason-Hawthorne (MusicManiac12323) - The Biggest Team Gale Fan In The World 00:03, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

She's never referred to as Annie Odair, so we won't refer to her that way. First, because we don't even know if she took Finnick's name, and second because we should always use the names that characters are most commonly known by. -TagAlongPam (talk) 03:28, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Annie's Family[]

Annie and Finnick's baby[]

So, in Mockingjay, Finnick dies. Then a while later, Annie has a baby, like a year later. Is this possible?

MockingjayPhoenix 01:37, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

It might not have actually been a year. Annie could have actually gotten pregnant before Finnick left on the mission then he died and Annie was still pregnant.Ravenclaw Eagles14!!!!! 22:10, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

The time frame of the baby's birth is not mentioned. Obviously the latest it would be is 9 months after Finnick left for the Capitol. The actual text says "Strange bits of happiness, like the photo of Finnick and Annie’s newborn son." (Chapter 27) BrokenSphere (Talk 22:16, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

too many characters in Mockingjay already.[]

Annie ODAIR[]

Wouldn't it be Odair since she married Finnick?☜User:Leapkit☠☯☁Talk☞ 00:37, October 5, 2012 (UTC)

First off, we title our pages based on the name a character is most commonly known by (in this case, "Cresta"). Second, not every woman takes the surname of her husband—she is never called "Annie Odair" at any point in the series. -TagAlongPam (talk) 03:37, October 5, 2012 (UTC)
Well ok then. A simple and non rude no would of sufficed but ya know, whatever.☜User:Leapkit☠☯☁Talk☞ 04:31, October 5, 2012 (UTC)
It's rude to explain my answer? It would be much ruder to simply say "no" with no explanation. -TagAlongPam (talk) 13:43, October 5, 2012 (UTC)

i just wanted to point out that even though finnick's eyes were described as sea green, annie's were only mentioned as green :)

Perhaps Finnick's eyes were more of a greenish turquoise, and Annie's were more an emerald shade...

Where does it say they rigged the reapings?[]

In trivia it says that the reapings were rigged so Annie would be drawn.  It doesn't give any reason why or even which games it was (her first one or the 75th)  Im going to get rid of it and someone needs to make an exectutive decision on whenever Annie was a career.  There are two pieces of trivia that say completly diffrent things Bolandcas (talk) 16:22, February 18, 2013 (UTC). She isn't a Career.

Actress In Catching Fire []

Who was the actress who played her in Catching Fire ?  I thought Stef Dawson was only signed on for her role in Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2.Som

Watch the Spoilers[]

This entire wiki has a huge problem with unmarked spoilers.  This page is particularly representative.  I clicked on it after watching Catching Fire because I missed discussion of that character.  Then within the first three sentences, I get a massive, unmarked FINNICK DIES spoiler.

Wikis typically provide only vague introductory information in the first couple sentences.  When they discuss plot events, they provide a separate, clearly labeled spoiler section.  I suggest this wiki follow suit, because the random spoilers are numerous and offensive.

Annie laughs unnecessarily? Doesn't everyone?[]

Twice while describing Annie on this page it is said that she laughs at unnecessary times. To me, that doesn't make any sense at all. When is it ever necessary to laugh? Isnt EVERY laugh from any person an unnecessary one?

Wouldn't it make more sense to say she laughs at inappropriate times?

Maybe you should ask an Admin to change it ?

--Travis Lane (talk) 16:07, November 3, 2014 (UTC)

Do you really want to discuss why and in what situations humans laugh on this page? And excuse the irony, but that would be a very unneccesary edit to make, since that are the exact words Katniss uses in the books. We don't know for sure in what way she meant it.

The Trivia is incorrect. Lyme was also a former victor who was not a part of the 75th Hunger Games.

Lyme's name is not in the trivia because Lyme is deceased.

Picture[]

Hey! Just was wondering if you could maybe change her picture. I mean not really a big deal and I hate to bother you, I was just wondering because I'm a big Annie lover and not such a big fan of her profile picture being the one where she looks like a crazed, crying lunatic.. I was thinking any of these pictures below but y'know whatever you feel like. I can't tell you what to do with your page, and I appreciate all the work and effort you have put into this page,  just a suggestion =).

3/4 of them are not even Annie. We don't use pictures of characters' actors/actresses in this wiki, unless it is in their own page, obviously.

INCORRECT HAIR COLOR LISTED[]

Under 'appearance' it states that Annie Cresta has 'flowing red hair'. Annie Cresta does not canonically have red hair. The actress in the film adaptations does, but Annie is described on page 174 of Mockingjay as having "dark tangled hair". "Dark" is not commonly used to indicate red hair and wouldn't make sense to be used to indicate such.
