there is supposed to be an "h" in "graphite" in the picture. I know it cant be fixed, it is just really bothering me.
- All of the images were created officially and posted on thecapitol.pn. Perhaps you should tell them about this, they'd probably like to know. —Haybernathy - talk page . edit count 04:16, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

District 13 Communism
District 13 seems to be forming a parallel to communism, especially when paired with the Capitol's Nazi symbolism (eagles, large vertical banners, "Peacekeepers", District 12 looking like a concentration camp, and the obvious "Roman salute").

District 13 in the Film
I'm going to go out on a limb here but I just saw the interview with Julianne Moore and to me, she implied that in the film, District 13 was bombed without the intention of there being any survivors. If that is true, then the deal mentioned in the book that District 13 had with the Capitol is either nonexistent in the film or just hasn't been mentioned as of yet. Does anyone else get that vibe from watching the interview ?
Location of district 13
Graphite is also mined in northern new jersey and upstate new york. There is a major nuclear power plant in ny as well (indian point). With the description of it being in the northeast US,alot of it points to being in the upstate ny/northern nj area and extending northeast through new england, and up into Ontario
I don't remeber seeing this quote in the novels or in any promotional material, and the footnote only leads to a page link for the first book. Unless the source can be specified, I suggest replacing this quote with a new one. Gotlvr87 (talk) 20:29, May 2, 2017 (UTC)
