District 6 is Detroit[]
Hey guys, not to offend anyone or anything, but I think District 6 is a referrence to Detroit. Both are responsible for manufacturing vehicles (cars for Detroit, Maglevs/trains and hovercrafts for District 6), and both seem to have significant drug abuse problems.

Sorry Shadow. Look, the tributes for the Third Quarter Quell were both morphlings. Let me rephrase that; Detroit has had notorious drug abuse problems. The District 6 Victors, the most prominent District 6 citizens, both seem to be drug addicts.

We only know of two people from district 6 who were addicted to drugs, the morphlings. I doubt many people were however seeing as District 6 probably isn't a wealthy district. Both morphlings were victors and since district since doesn't have many, it's probably safe to say there weren't many morphlings from district 6, since Morphling is a very expensive capitol drug. There is no official map of Panem. There are fan made maps. But no official map from suzanne collins or lionsgate have been made. Every fan made map is going to be different of coarse. There's no way of knowing which district is where besides District 12 until one is officially released.

Everyone there is sick of transportation, especially the tributes from the games. Morphling has been an extreme issue in this district. It is the biggest district out of all 13.

Personally I would of thought District 6 was medicines and pharmaceutical products because the population have acces to morphling but where did transportation come from?
In the first book it says in chapter 16 page 264 that district makes automobiles which makes me think that District 6 is not transportation.
Yes it dose say that district 3 makes the automobiles and previously mentioned that district 3 speciality was factories.
I remember reading somewhere that District 6 was in charge of medicine. District 5 was in charge of research (Hence why Foxface was said to be so smart) Ditrict 3 was said to be factories, not just technology. I can't remember where I read it but it does make sense.
