Peeta did not fight him. Peeta faught the 10 male. He even says it in a magzine.
Profile.[]
That profile picture is the 10 male.
Wrong Age[]
The man who plays the district 9 tribute is almost 50 and not in his 30s. The age needs to be changed.
Initially his age was 40s, then someone edited it in 30s. I know very well he is in his late 40s.
However the tribute who ws drowned by Peeta was the D10 male, this is confirmed.
There are three possible explanation:
1) The tribute drowned by Peeta was the D9 male who was replaced by the D10 male. However the D10 male's portrait wasn't shown in the sky on Day 2.This can be a production error
2) The D10 male was killed by Peeta. In Italian version of the movie Katniss said 8 tributes died in the bloodbath and this can be a production error.
3) Cecelia's and Woof's portraits weren't shown on Day 1. When the portraits were shown, there were shown Katniss and the other watching the sky two times (between th D6 male and the D9 male and between the D9 female and the D10 female). It is possible that the D10 male died in the bloodbath and Cecelia or oof didn't die. Woof was shown to fall off his plate, so Cecelia can escape from the arena.

D9 male, not D10 male[]
Why is the District 9 male confused with the District 10 male?
If the District 10 male was killed by Peeta in Day 1, then who is the tribute who in the deleted scenes escaped towards the jungle with a spear and a knife? D10 male. This is mentioned in his arcticle in this wiki.
The rest of the Cornucopia Bloodbath is in the deleted scenes. If we add the bloodbath seen in the movie (not deleted) to the deleted scenes we can count 8 deaths: D5 male (impaled by Finnick), Woof (speared by Brutus), D6 male (got a knife in his throat by Gloss), D9 male (drowned by Peeta), Seeder (killed by Cashmere), D10 female (slashed by Enobaria), D9 female (speared by Brutus) and Cecelia (stabbed by Enobaria).
Eight tributes killed in Day 1 are confirmed if we watch the deleted scenes of the bloodbath. Both District 8 tributes died altough their portraits are not shown. And both District 9 tributes were killed and had their portrait shown at night. In the Spanish version of the film, Katniss says "ocho", wich means "eight". So it was the District 9 male the male killed by Peeta.
I believe the District 10 male was killed by the mutt too (even tough it´s never seen) in the film. This may be a production error.
So, if IT WAS D10 male, he was likely portraying D9 male.

Now, you talked about deleted scenes, but all said in this wiki about deleted scenes is made up. Have we deleted scenes? No, they were never shown.
The portraits scene is this:
- First: D5 male
- Second: D6 male
- Katniss, Peeta, Mags and Finnick are watching the sky
- Third: D9 male
- Fourth: D9 female
- Katniss is watching the sky
- Fifth: D10 female
- Sixth: Seeder
There are three possiblities:
1) The D10 male was replacing the D9 male. Like stated by Katniss in the bloodbath eight tributes died: D5 male, D6 male, Woof, Cecelia, D9 male, D9 female, D10 female and Seeder. However, the D10 male's portrait wasn't shown on Day 2, this can be a prodiction error.
2) The D10 male died in the bloodbath, since the D10 male's portrait wasn't shown on Day 2. However, Katniss said "otto" ("eight", the number of tributes who died), this can be a production error.
3) During the portraits scene there were two moments, where Katniss was shown to watching the sky (between the D6 male and the D9 male and between the D9 female and the D10 female). Between the D6 male and the D9 male, the D6 female's, Blight's, Johanna's, Woof's and Cecelia's portraits could be shown, but we know for sure the D6 female, Blight and Johanna didn't die in the bloodbath; between the D9 female and the D10 female it is possible the D10 male's portrait was shown. Now, we know for sure Woof died in the bloodbath, since he fell off his plate and it is impossible he survived the bloodbath, but it is possible Cecelia escaped away from the arena and the D10 male died in the bloodbath.

It´s me again, the "D9 male, not D10 male" comment´s author. Your comment is very good, but I still believe D9 male was killed by Peeta.
I´m 100% sure that Cecelia was killed in the bloodbath, since there´s a force field around the arena and if she collides with it, she dies. There´s NO EXIT of the arena unless the lightning´s electricity runs into the force field. Analize it. But, as I said, your comment is very good, man.
Now, I edited my comment and added that last text line, in the one I say "So, if IT WAS D10 male, he was likely portraying the D9 male". I respect your opinion, but I have MY opinion too.

The tribute killed by Peeta was certainly the D10 male. He was probably replacing the D9 male, but he was the D10 male's actor.
Cecelia (or the District 10 male) could have escaped from the arena along with Katniss, Peeta, Finnick, Beetee, Johanna and Enobaria. Otherwise she (or the DIstrict 10 male) died on Day 2. I still think we can't know for sure which of my speculations is the right, but I think it is one of them.

It is possible that Daniel is not the sole male victor from 9 as both Mizar and Laurel are unisex names.
