Effie!
Effie Trinket is suppossed to represent the weird fashons in the Capitol, i think, and some of them are a little... odd. But some of Effies dresses, with a few modifications I could see people wear normally. (not me though, I'm not a dressy person!) Look at the dress she is wearing. If you take out the odd angles on the shoulders and collar, and make the belt stand out a little more, it looks pretty normal. Well yeah, it's kind of obvious that the Capitol is supposed to symbolise an exaggerated portrayal of modern society; obsession with fashion/cosmetic surgery, interest in reality television, de-sensitization~ of violence) etc. Capitolism (talk) 16:47, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

Your trivia about Effie is INCORRECT. Her name is mentioned multiple times in the movie. Example: On the train to the capitol for the 75th QQ. Katniss: "I'm not in the mood for a lecture. I'll apologize to Effie later."
