I finished rereading the series! I recommend it to all! The first and second book were my favorites though. The third book, Mockingjay, is bad in my opinion. Everyone I liked died or went to a different district. :(
Please post your opinions! I want to talk to someone about this book! Thanks!

I liked the book. I understand that SC tried to keep the books the same length but I also do think that the book could have been longer or been two books--accual battle and then after the battle. A lot was crammed in the last pages that needed explanations. The deaths should have been explained more and there could have been more explanation behind the Katniss-Coin scene. More needed to be told about after, too. I feel that SC was rushed with this book, and it lacked detail-- like when they go to rescue Peeta, Katniss just does nothing and he comes home, and things kinda like that. But I still like--scratch that--but I still love the book. I just think she could've done better if she wasn't rushed.

I LOVED this book!!! Everyone else I've talked to said that it was terrible, and boring and sad, and not worth reading, and altough it was sad (I LOVE PRIM SOO MUCH I WANT HER TO BE MY SISTER), I liked it the most! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.104.22.168 (talk • contribs) 15:27, April 9, 2012

GlimmerandSparkle 17:12, March 25, 2012 (UTC) Well it was pretty confusing but I know she was depressed and in the hospital, and she sees Snow, and then she goes to kill him right? (Haven't read it in a couple of months.) But she killed Coin instead because she thought of the Capitol hunger games so instead of getting revenge, she got rid of a threat. I personally thought Katniss was going crazy, and she was confused and we are reading through her point of view so we are confused. Does that help?
At first it was really funny because Gale came in to see Katniss and Katniss said "What if I miss?". Then, when she shot Coin, at first I thought she DID miss and I started laughing SOOOO hard, then realized that she did it on purpose.... :( But yeah, after Prim died, she was really sad (as was everyone else, I assume) and kinda crazy... and then she is picking out a rose for Snow to wear when he is being executed, and Snow shows up, and he tells her that Coin sent down the bomb parachutes, not him. Then, instead of executing Snow, she shot Coin. Then Snow either died of choking on his own blood while laughing (does anyone else find that severely gross?!?!?!? XP) or he got run over by the crowd. Too bad I was laughig with Snow... That's embarassing... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 22.214.171.124 (talk • contribs) 15:24, April 9, 2012
Favorite Part Edit
What was your favorite part mine was when Peeta asked if Katniss loving him was real or not real and Katniss says real that was so sweet. I also like the twist at the end President Coin being killed
I am not exactly sure how to reply to this so I'm editing it instead... But I'm a different user than the above!! :) Although it's really sad, I think my favorite part was when Buttercup and Katniss were crying together over Prim... I wanted to cry with them! I also loved the end!!! Soooo cute! I HATE reading good books, because when they end, they're done and over and you can't read them again because you already know what happens!!!! :( But I LOVED this book!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 126.96.36.199 (talk • contribs) 5:18, April 9, 2012

Possibility of an encyclopedia/lexicon of known and possible facts Edit
After having read Mockingjay and pretty much finishing the trilogy, I have to wonder: has anyone tried to make an unofficial canon or knowledge of what the world of Panem has in existence in terms of technology, weapons, vehicles, a reasonable map... I only ask because it would be nice to able to give more depth to the world this trilogy attempts to create. Having read all three books has made me realize that it left a lot of things open, especially there isn't a lot of reference to anything in terms of transport apart from trains and hovercraft; that leaves it open for other methods of transport, and then towards the rebellion in the mockingjay, leaves it even more open to military vehicles and/or weapons (only mentions pods[mines], guns, archery weapons and possible grenades)
I also mention a map since it won't take long for someone or some people to actually fully create a map that suits the book, fully thought out and then for somebody to start mapping out the events in the mockingjay. If that happens, I can help map out the events of the rebellion from when it ignites at the end of catching fire all the way into the mockingjay. I may be able to provide a bit of description not too long from now, but since I am writing this before I report for duty, it will have to wait so cheers to any replies/suggestions. Santrap322
There have been multiple attempts to create a map. However because these are all fan-generated, none of them can be used in the main space. As you pointed out, there is a lot left open, but speculation can't appear in the main space either. If you have your own theories based on what evidence does appear you can post this in your user space or blog space, but unless there's something to back it up, it has to stay out of the main space.
