The morphlings were such sweet and knd-hearted people, but why did they have to ruin themselves with morphling/morphine? That's insipid! I was actaully for the female morphling because she was a nice person to everyone, especially Peeta Mellark. She was from my favorite district, which is district 6. If she wasn't a morphling, maybe she'd be my favorite tribute in the 3rd Quarter Quell. I must be the only fan of the the female morphling. The male morphling was just ok because he didn't save anybody's life and he did a bad job mentoring Jason.

I believe the morphlings turned to the drug the same reason Peets paints and bakes and why Haymitch drinks, and why Katniss likes to sleep in peeta's arms. It helped block out the nightmares. Being in The Hunger Games must've been a very traumatic and damaging experience. Morphling probably helped them block out the nightmares and the thoughts of what happened in the arena. I happen to like the morphlings. I'm sure if MM did a bad job mentoring him though.
