Fan made[]

I thought we weren't allowed fan made videos?

Where did that last song come from?

Stop[]

Whoever TreesOfAshes93 is, please stop trying to use this page to promote your personal version of the Hanging Tree. You are cluttering the wiki and the video does not meet Wikia standards. Your aggressive attempts at keeping the video on the page are getting ridiculous. Nightlock Tribute 01:03, March 25, 2012 (UTC)

You are not the only one with an opinion jerk. I love that girls song way more than the current one so stop being a self-righteous ****. You're a Cato in the hunger games world, judgmental and obnoxious!

Rue's lullaby[]

How is the Sting version of Rue's Lullaby not official? It's clearly the melody used in the film, and it has apparently official artwork. T.F. Allen 06:46, March 27, 2012 (UTC)

It says, on the video; "This is NOT the Jennifer Lawrence recording, but it is the version she sings." Meaning that it is not the version Jennifer Lawrence sang in the movie because one, it's a man singing, and two, he/she (the uploader) said it wasn't. It is just the tune that Sting used that is the same. Haybernathy - talk page . edit count 06:51, March 27, 2012 (UTC)
I may be wrong, but I took that to mean that Sting wrote the melody. But it IS the version Jennifer Lawrence sang, simply because it shares the same melody, tempo, etc. I, the uploader, said that it was the same version as used in the film. 'Twas simply not Lawrence's recording, but it was clearly the same arrangement. Also, the source from whence this version came credited it as "bonus downloadable content" on the Hunger Games album. I don't think it could be called any more official than that. HOWEVER, I can't confirm that, so I'll have to concede for the time being (the website that supposedly has the download available gave me technical difficulties, so unless someone else can vouch for me, I'm unsourced). -T.F. The official version would be the one that Jen sang in the movie, as in her voice. That is the lyrics written in the book, and both sang by Jen, but it's not her version, and her's would be the official one. If it is, however, on the album, then it is official. I never heard it when I listened to the album, but I wasn't aware there was "bonus downloadable content", so I wouldn't know. I judged that to be unofficial due to the fact that it was not by Jen, but by a man - and I thought that one would be the official one. Aaaand I now have confirmation that the Sting version IS official bonus content from the Hunger Games album.

"A bonus song, "Deep in the Meadow (Lullaby)", by Sting, was included as a bonus download with purchase [of] the soundtrack"

That's about as official as it gets. I'm putting it back on the page, then. -98.204.0.248 04:03, March 28, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for finding that. If you know how to reference, could you please do it and link it to the article? Just so we don't have a mix up again. Haybernathy - talk page . edit count 04:05, March 28, 2012 (UTC)

There is a mistake in the lyrics for Deep in the Meadow. It's just

"and close your eyes"

Rue's death[]

The song is Safe & Sound by Taylor Swift ft. The Civil Wars while burying her. Jeahra (talk) 19:07, May 16, 2013 (UTC)

videos not working[]

The vidos don't work anymore, youtube apparently pulled them for copyright reasons. Just wanted to let someone know. Can MP3 files be uploaded to a wiki?Tiria Wildlough File:Coaslyth.jpg Owl Reception 15:23, February 6, 2016 (UTC)

Improvements[]

I have several ideas for improving this page, but need to clear up some clutter before beginning. The lyrics given for the Valley Song are not present in any Hunger Games-related material that I know of, so unless someone can provide a reference for them, I plan on removing them as part of my improvements.
