‘Hunger Games’ Theme Park to Open in the US
Hunger Games fans, the odds really are in your favor this week.
The New York Times reported today that a Hunger Games theme park will open in Atlanta in 2019. This will follow the opening of similar parks in China and Dubai and will be part of the upcoming Avatron entertainment park.
How exactly do you recreate a dystopian world that’s centered around killing kids… and make it fun? We’re still waiting on the full details, but based on what we know about the Dubai park that’s opening next year, we can make some educated guesses.

The new IMAX poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 is both an in-world propaganda image for Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and her rebellion against the Capitol, and an advertisement for the movie franchise’s final chapter.
It also, through beautiful design, sends some interesting signals for 'fans' of both the film franchise and Suzanne Collins’ book series. The most obvious, of course, is the prevalence of roses, which symbolize the Capitol’s President Snow (Donald Sutherland). So as we all know that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is coming out on DVD/bluray pretty well soon and it looks like it will be an epic release. Like with fans all screaming and wanting more and more and more of the movie. But at any time the fans will be buying the film and watching it over a hundred times.
