Hello, everyone. If you have not known yet, my name is Julian Espinoza (aka JERealize; thanks a lot for not letting me use my username, Facebook), and I am admin and bureaucrat of the Hunger Games Role Playing Wiki. Now, as some of you know, on May 15, 2011, Steamygoreng founded the wiki under approval of TagAlongPam to serve as a gathering place of Hunger Games fan-fiction, and encouraged everyone to rebase their Games for the good of this wiki. I was among the first to move to the wiki for a permanent stay, and my Games stayed there, as well. The wiki had a good run, but when users, including Steamygoreng, started leaving, I had to take over as admin, and I had to preserve it with my life.
It's been nearly a year since the wiki has started, and now I'm sending out a personal invitation to the Hunger Games Role Playing Wiki. Its intended use was to house all Games and the characters that took part. The chatspace is often used for roleplaying, despite popular belief. I've created JER's Tournament and JER's Multiversal Games in the RP Wiki, and few people are giving me enough support to keep going. There are still a handful of users aware of its existence, but it seems like no one knows about what I am talking about.
As you can tell by this chart, we've had humble beginnings, peaked out in August, fell back in the year's close, and have left the highly criticized month of April, the best month for us since November of last year. Recently, Tiki tooki suggested I dismantle the wiki and move back here. It may seem a good idea from a glance, but when you realize what the RP wiki was about, it would be like saying its mission has failed. I cannot allow the RP wiki to fall after only one year of struggles.
You have to consider what the creation of new Games on this wiki means, compared to what creating Games on the RP Wiki would mean. This wiki is meant to be an informational source about a teenager fighting against all odds to protect her family, no matter what the condition. It cannot handle the task of keeping fan-fiction Games in line without extra enforcement. The RP Wiki is dedicated to allowing Games to be created over there, to reduce the bulk of the information in this wiki to an extent where everything can be managed better.
I know I can't explain anything better at the moment, but I need you to consider what your ignorance has done. Contrary to popular belief, ignorance is not strength. Ignorance is a loophole waiting to be exploited into chaos and disorder. The Role Playing Wiki must do its job, and that is to preserve the integrity of the Games where it can't disturb anyone concerning themselves with something else. This is my final say. Join the RP Wiki, and uphold its true mission for years to come. Thank you for your consideration.
With best regards,
