The Hunger Games books are already best-sellers, and there is no doubt that the films will at least do well at the box office. But now there is a new arena--so to speak--for The Hunger Games--comic books.
Sara Gundell, from Bluewater Productions, has written a comic book, with art by Niño Harn Cajayon and a cover by Joe Phillips. The book is entitled: Fame: Suzanne Collins and it is part of a series about celebrities and success stories, detailing the life and achievements of Suzanne Collins, author of The Hunger Games books.
The Hunger Games film, based on the first book in the trilogy, comes out on March 23, 2012, while the film of the sequel, Catching Fire, is planned for release in 2013. It is without a doubt that the third book, Mockingjay, will also be turned into a film eventually.
The main character of the films and books is Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, who volunteers to take part in the brutal Hunger Games in place of her younger sister, Prim. Perhaps the comic book will explain where Collins came up with such an original and successful idea.
