THE CHEMICAL GAMES!!!!

My 4th Games.... may the odds be ever in your favors!!! :D. They are called the Chemical Games because I am studying chemicals in science, and I am listening to 'Chemicals React' by Aly&AJ. Haha. It's gonna be a good theme. >:) I might even add a little... TWIST.

I am accepting districts 0-13. 2 tributes for each user, but you can have tributes from different districts

And also, please don't send in tributes until I give you a message. If you don't want to send after I message you, that's fine, I would never force somebody to. Thanks & Wishing your tributes GOOD LUCK, Clove :D

Arena (Clue 1/6):

This year's arena will be full of

CHEMICALS. As in

HYDROGEN. All the water will be

LIQUID nitrogen and other chemicals will be placed through out the arena. Rainwater is the

ONLY source of drinkable water, so

REMEMBER that throughout the Games, but the water in the arena's creeks can also be used to heal

I think I will add clues about what chemical will come up next. There are

NO mutts. May the odds be

EVER in your favor!!!! Hope you enjoy the Games!! And please, no more than 3 guesses per user.

I won't do chariot rides or interviews probably, but I will do the victors' interviews. There's 3 victors.

Day 1

"LET THE 274TH HUNGER GAMES -- OH, THAT REMINDS ME I'M QUITE HUNGRY FOR YOGURT!!! PLEASE EXCUSE ME WHILE I GO GET SOME!"

28 tributes are placed around the golden Cornucopia, waiting impatiently for the Games to start. Their hearts beat in time to the ticking clock. 60 seconds. One side is a piney forest, the other is a large rocky range that slopes down and up and down again. Then, before the announcer is back, the gong sounds and the tributes rush forward. Max Summers snatches up a neon green pack. Oh well, at least it's better than orange or yellow, he thinks. He sprints off into the woods. Already 3 tributes lie dead on the ground.

"LET THE 274TH HUNGER GAMES... BEGIN!!! OH NEVERMIND, THEY'VE ALREADY STARTED. HA HA, NOW I SHALL EAT MY YOGURT IN PEACE WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT THESE SILLY GAMES!!! WELL, I SHALL EAT MY YOGURT NOW!!!!"

Then there's a burst of static and the chemical games have officially begun.

(Clue 2/6)

I think I have taken you far

Enough

To see what's happening

Now I come with a warning. Look

Out.

Get your bags, your alliances now.

Remember the chemicals. Get out.

NOW!!!

Everest Tinder's POV:

I'm with Cedar. The boy I will never stop owing. We each have a pack, mine contains a knife and a pot of nuts. It's a small bag, but it will last. Cedar suddenly whips around. "What was that?" he asks. "I-I don't know," I manage to stammer before he shoves me into the bushes. Flat on my face, I cough up on the spongy earth. I see a tall boy standing over Cedar. Immediately, I spring up and throw my knife into the offense. It hits him in the thigh. He pulls it out and throws it down. I cringe, warning myself of the shatter that will soon come. But the knife remains intact. I grab Cedar and this time, it's me who's pushing somebody through the brush. Then we come into a large clearing and he hurls me into the stream. The water splashes up into his face. He raises his sword to deliver my deathblow. Then he is unbalanced and as he splashes in, I taste something on the waves. Chlorine. This water is not safe to drink. But the boy is gulping gallons of it. He flails his arms and tries to scream, but only manages a low gurgle. And I run, clutching my knife, forgetting about Cedar and the boy.

Day 2:

Kestrel Bright's POV:

"What was that?" I growl to Jupiter Dorthog. "I - I don't k-know," she stammers. I shove her aside and look through the trees. A large clearing, good. I smile. But just as I'm runing through, two more people run through - both boys. Digit Plug and Ash Rowan. Alright, Digit's a distinct threat, but Ash is definetly more hostile. As I watch, he throws the first knife at Jupiter, where it catches her in the throat. As she falls, choking out a scream, large cracks form into the ground. Then the ground dissolves completely. we all have 1 second to realize what's happening as the stream of liquid nitrogen rises towards the ground. Or is the ground lowerinbg itself closer to the river? I have no time to think. "ONE'S GOT JUPITER!!!" Digit screeches. I hear a shatter. Then I look out and see pieces of Jupiter, who had been hit by a falling chunk of Earth after she had taken a splash into the nitrogen. Frozen so solid she'd shattered. Literally, shattered. Ash caught the edge of the ground but it disentigrated. He tried to pull himself up. But then he slipped. I rushed forward to grab him out but he was already falling. I heard the stunning cold liquid splash over him. Then the sound of breaking glass. No, shattering glass. I reached the trees, the barrier, just in time. Then I ran for it. Ran for it straight into the Career pack.

"HELLO I'M BACK FROM THE YOGURT CONVENTION!!! HOW DO I LOOK? MY CATERER WILL NOW FETCH ME SOME FROZEN KEY LIME POIE YOGURT. AS YOU CAN SEE, I'M BRANCHING OUT {sort of!!} AHH HERE IT IS. I DIG MY SPOON INTO THE CREAMY DELICIOUSNESS THAT AWAITS...! CHUNK!? CHUNK!!?? THAT'S NOT THE SOUND A CREAMY FROZEN YOGURT IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE WHEN IT HAS A SPOON DIGGED INTO IT!! HOLD ON, LET ME GET MY WHACKING STICK. THE TRIBUTES WILL BE FACING SOME UNKNOWN CHEMICALS SOON. AHH YES, MY WHACKING STICK HERE WE GO WHACK!!! WHACK!!! WHACK!!! AHH HE'S KNOCKED OUT, THERE WE GO. BUT WAIT!!! HOW AM I GOING TO GET MY YOGURT?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! RISE!!! RISE DUDE, CATERER!!! RIIIIIIIIIIIISE!!!"

Then there's a burst of static and the last thing we here is the announcer grumbling about taking a 30-second walk to the fridge and back to get his yogurt.

Day 3:

Seashelle Breeze's POV:

A wind whips through my hair. I can't stop thinking about what the announcer mentioned through the haze of yogurt and whacking stick. Something about unknown chemicals. At the Cornucopia, the arena seemed split into 8 parts. I look over to my left. Then the sky bursts open, lightning cracking the sky so hard I expected pieces of it to flatten me. I can't see. I stumbe around then my eyesight regains and I'm running towards the Cornucopia. I see thers cloaked in chemicals. A girl rushes past me covered in dripping foam. A boy is caked in a slippery black substance. One girl is slapping at her coat, trying to put out a fire. But once at the Cornucopia, all signs of chemicals vanish. But I cana see them in other parts of the arena. A huge fire in the trees. A cloud dripping foam near the mountains. I size up my competition. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... But a few I guess haven't survived their chemicals. The 4 classic Careers have, though. I lunge at Zelda Beckett, but she's ready and plunges her sword into my arm. I whip around but it's no use. My arm hangs limply at my side and I groan. Then Sol Crusade shoves me from behind. He flattens me on the ground. I wonder if he's trying t save or rape me. Then something falls to the ground. Sol's... I open my eyes slightly and what I see makes me vomit so hard my throat almost burst open. Because it's Sol's eye. He stumbles around blindly. I try to get up but I' dizzy. Another wave of vomit splaters the tributes in front of me, then another. By the time I'm finished my throat is so raw I feel like I'll never be able to speak again. I cough weakly. I've missed the battle. More tributes lie on the ground. Not the Careers, though. But the battle is over. I look over my shoulder. So are the waves of chemicals.

Day 4:

Jay Star's POV:

"That's a nasty wound," I say to Zelda, gazing at her mangled foot. She shrugs. "It'll heal, she says, tossing her lustrous waves of hair back. "Here, let me wrap that up," Clarrisse says. Grabbing a bandage, she wraps Zelda's foot. I see Zelda grimace, but doesn't cry out. Instead she grips her sword. It's a fine one, long and sharp with a relentless steel blade. Zelda glances around at the fallen snow, and lifts up the fur-lined hood on her jacket. "There's a river close to the rocks," Bone Scart says, shifting the pack on his shoulders. "Ok," I say. Together we lift Zelda but se smacks me when I ask her if she needs anything else. "I don NOT need to be fussed over," she scowls. She takes the coat off and crawls into the current. The bandage is firm and strong. The swelling begins to go down as the cold water cascdes over her foot. I sigh with relief as the blood begins to fade from the wound.

Day 5:

(Clue 3/6)

O

Starry Knite's POV:

"We're getting closer to the rocks," I say to my allies, Evern, Breeze and Everest. The Careers aren't the only ones that can keep a pack. "Unfortunetly we're running out of supplies." "Damn," Everest says, looking over her shoulder for any danger. "Don't worry, Everest," Breeze tries to comfort her. Everest just pulls out her knife and sighs. "What danger do you think we'll find in the rocks?" Evern asks. I look on ahead and see 4 figures. "Umm... let's just find a cave where we can hide for a while," I say. "I'm tired," Breeze says. "Can't we stop and rest?" "No," Evern says. Then somebody grabs him. The Careers, shown up out of nowhere. "Look, what a pleasant surprise," Clarrisse says. Bone's lips curl into a sneer. "Let's get them!" he says. "RUUUUNNN!!" I shout. They follow us. "OK NEW PLAN! THIS WAY!" They follow us. Note to self: If you don't want someone to know where you're going, don't say "OK NEW PLAN, THIS WAY!" "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT!?" Evern screams. He bites Bone. With a sharp cry, Bone releases him. Evern flies 2 feet into the snow and is immeadiately flanked by the ladies. I draw my sword. I'm ready to fight, defend my friends. I dodge the firt swing to my head. Bone whips around and punches me in the jaw. Zelda kicks me in the shins. I'm no match for them. But the impact with my leg seems to have sent Zelda into an agonized state. She screams and coughs up blood. I am too stunned even to move until Everest grabs me. We head to the rocks.

Zelda Beckett's POV:

Ack... I hurt so much. Ahh damn. "Zelda, you OK?" Bone says. "Yeah. It's just... damn... my stupid leg," I grunt. "It's getting cold out," Jay says. "Geez, Jay. Where have you - ack - been the last - ack - few days," I cough. "I think you're getting hypothermia," he says to me. Am I? It's getting harder to breathe. Ack, my lungs. My foot. Ow. They carry me, this time I have no objection. I reach up to try to slap one of them, but my hand feels extremely heavy and I can't lift it. Oww... my head...

Kestrel Bright's POV:

My eyes shift across the trees slowly and lock on a small lake. Eerie music seems to bounce off the trunks of the trees. I look slowly over my shoulder expecting something to jump out at me like in an old movie. A leaf rustles and I jump about 10 feet high. Somebody heard that. They're comin' to get me! I jump up and run as fast as I can, not caring how much noise I make. I break out of the trees and sprint for the rocks. But the closer you get to the rocks, the harder it is to breathe. Then it hits me. The oxygen level's going down. It's safer by the trees. But is it really? Mist begins to curl around the trees. The area is now a foggy landscape.

Day 6

Everest Tinder's POV:

I gasp, even though I have no reason to. "Anyone - huh - notice how - huh - it's harder to - huh huh huh - breathe?" I choke out. Evern coughs. "Yeah. That's another element. We have to get to the woods." "OK," I say. "We'll probably get there today. It's probably - huh - warmer out there." So we come out. I cough as the brilliant sun reaches and touches my eyes. I finger the scar on my cheek... "This way," Starry says, leading us.

Zelda Beckett's POV:

"Where am I?" I ask. I look around and the faces of the Careers slide into view. I groan as I suddenly remember. "In a cave, in the forest." I sit up, grabbing a knife from next to me. My bare feet are freezing. I slip my boots on, but they're soggy and full of snow, so are my socks. I grab my coat and pull the hod over my head, sliding 2 more knives in. The wind whips my face as I walk out. My face is probably a deep red. But I focus on what I need to do -- find tributes. There must only be a handful left, so they're going tpo try to bring us all together. The sharp smell of pine tickles my nose and I cup my hands over my nose and mouth. The cold is no longer bothering me. I set off into the thicket of pine trees encased by a warm fog.

"OK SO THE TRIBUTES STILL ALIVE IN THE 274TH HUNGER GAMES... CONGRATULATIONS. SOME OF YOU ARE GOING TO WIN AND THE REST ARE GONNA GET K-O-ED. NOW, MY MINUTELY YOGURT HAS ARRIVED. YOM YOM YOM YOM YOM YOM YOM YOM... HMM. NOW I'M DONE, RATS. I HAVE TO WAIT 54 SECONDS FOR ANOTHER. YES. THE TRIBUTES WILL ALL HAVE SOMETHING WAITING FOR THEM AT THE CORNUCOPIA."

Evi Tech's POV:

Did you hear THAT? Did you hear THAT? I gather up my small backpack. I'm low on supplies, but now I get to refresh them at the Cornucopia. I get up and run. It's going to be a long walk.

Breeze Moon's POV:

"Why are we carrying Evern?" Starry grumbles. "I TOLD you, I TOLD you. If any of you ever want to be carried after this, I'LL carry YOU." "All 3 of us?" Everest mutters. "Maybe," Evern replies. This brings on a giant wave of laughter from my companions, though I can't seem to see why it's funny. Then we hear it. The distinct howl of wolves. We are close to the giant golden horn, and that is where the sounds are coming from. "Um... guys?" Evern says. "The yogurt-crazed-announcer-dude-guy didn't say the something waiting for them was GOOD, did he?" "NO! WOLVES! RUUUUUN!" I scream. The wolves are alarmingly fast, taking off in all directions. "NO! NO!" Everest screams. Then we realize that once we kill a wolf, another replaces it. "I THOUGHT THERE WERE NO FREAKIN MUTTS!!!" Starry yells. "THESE AREN'T MUTTS, THEY'RE JUST REGULAR WOLVES!!! AAAGH!" Evern screams as he plummets to the ground, landing on his already-injured back and lying still. A wolf sprints over and begins to tear away large chunks of him... I feel like becoming sick on the spot, but I can't.

Evi Tech's POV:

I race around the bushes. I have to be the first one to the Cornucopia! I race around the bend and NO! There's nothing in sight except a wolf. A giant, long-furred, scruffy wolf with long razor-sharp claws, saliva chains hanging from teeth like knives. There are no mutts. This is just a regular wolf, but still, something about it isn't normal. The ferocity in its eyes... they must have done something to it. It's not a true mutt, but not a true wolf either. I sprint downhill. The wolf's howl, an eerie, blood-curdling sound cut through the still night.

Ridge Hilsong's POV:

I cough and there's no blood, luckily. My throat is injured, and I can't talk. I sit up, too scared to do anything else. I drink some water, which burns and then soothes my injured throat. Then I hear the snap. It's like a tree branch or twig being crushed under a giant foot. Crunch, crunch, snap. I sit bolt upright, grabbing the only weapon I managed to grab from the Cornucopia -- A bow. I drop the water and begin running again. My throat feels better, not as bad since I shouted so loudly at that boy I cut off my voice. Then the fist wolf drops into view. It lashes out and something sprys from its jaws.

(Clue 4/6)

It's number 53!!

Max Summer's POV:

I have to make it to the Cornucopia. I trudge up the hill, hoping not to run into anyone o anything. Especially the Careers. I switch my knife from one hand to another. But against my wishes, something comes out of the pines. For a minute, they look at me. All of them. Damn. Careers. I hold their gaze for a second, then look away. "You know," Jay says, his accent heavy, "We do need more people to help us with Zelda." "I DO NOT NEED HELP!" a blonde girl screams at him, slicing her knife against his shoulder. "Agh! Ow! OK, OK." But Zelda does look tired and hungry, every now and then she sneezes and she feels a little hot. "I'm sorry," I say, trying to sound as cool as I can. "Thank you for your offer." Zelda gets right up into my face. "You don't want to make -" she pauses to sneeze - "make enemies out of us, DO you, District 11? Well, if you do, then here you go." She raises the sword that should deliver my deathblow. "No! Zelda," Jay says. Zelda drops the sword. It lands right next to my cheek. I mean RIGHT next to it. "Leave him alone," Bone growls. "He'll die on his own if he has that much bad judgement." Zelda thinks for a second. "Well, alright," she finally mutters, casting me a menacing glare.

Seashelle Breeze's POV:

When I finally reach the Cornucopia, the area is deserted. "Hello?" I call, then immeadiately flinch, expecting a trap. To my surprise, nothing leaps out at me. I stride over to the golden horn, eyes wary for any sign of danger. None, thankfully. Now I just need to find my "special thing"... then somebody runs up. It's Nate forrester, from District 10. He lodges a knife at me. I duck just in time. It sticks into a tree just behind me. I look at him, he looks at me. Together we form a silent alliance.

Evi Tech's POV:

The wolves have stopped chasing me. The end of the Games is coming soon. I'm really worried. Will I live or die? Will I go down with fighting or sickness? These questions that will be answered in the future wash up in anxious waves around me. I hear the small roll of thunder. The wolves turned out to spray iodine from their mouths. A flashback hits me. Up a tree in the woods, where the wolves wouldn't dare to climb... I stare down at the clearing. Ridge Hillsong is completely surrounded by wolves. I am too scared to move or make a sound. Then one of the wolves jumps forth, spraying chemicals into his face. Iodine. The boy twitches and lies still. The horrific end to Ridge Hillsong buries itself in my mind. The wolves disappeared into the trees after the kill, but somehow I feel they're not truly gone to stay...

(Clue 5/6)

C _ _ _ _ N

M I _ _ _ I _ _

Jay Star's POV:

"Come on," I say to Bone. He scowls and nods, ducking away into the darkness. I watch him go, then Zelda snaps a twig. "Shhhhhhhhhh!" I tell her. "Sor-ree!" she growls. I look over my shoulder at Clarrise, motioning her to just go. Then I peek through the branches. 3 people are there. The pair from 0 and the girl from 5. I don't want to know what happened to the boy from 8. Then I jump out into the clearing. Raising my sword high over my head. Their eyes widen in terror and I know I can't miss my chance. They freeze with fear, but they won't stay for long. The boy from 0 is closest. I strike him in the lung and he emits a terrible cry of agony.

Everest Tinder's POV:

I yell. "NO!" I yell. Then I said something I probably shouldn't have. "GET AWAY YOU JERK!" I snarl at him. He just shrugs. "That's what the Hunger Games are about, Priss." "PRISS? OH YOU WANNA PLAY ROUGH, DON'T YOU!" I yell. I lodge a knife in his calf. It's enough to slow him down, but he runs back into the trees with Zelda.

Tami Rowan's POV:

I'm getting really tired. The fog here is thick and moist. I could just sleep forever... Then my head snaps up. I have to get away from here. I run over to the side and drop down. I need detoxification stuff. "NOW WOULD BE AN AMAZING TIME FOR A SPONSOR GIFT!" I shout. It's weird how one flies down so fast. I take it out. The bottle says it's enough to get a lot of poison out. I drink it down. It tastes like tree bark, but it's either tree bark or death now. Then the gas seeps over me...

Day 7

(Clue 6/6)

AipocUnroc

cornUcopiA

The ground beneath the tributes begins to shake. At first they think it's something, clutching trees and the nearest thing they can find. Slowly, their chunks of land come together at the Cornucopia. "But the Cornucopia isn't a chemical?" Breeze Moon thinks. Then she realizes it's an element.

The full force of Starry's loss hits Everest. She cries when she realizes she won't make it out alive... Then the battle begins.

Jay Star's POV:

I look around. I have my newest sponsor gift -- a barbed wire whip, and I intend to use it. I grin as I spot Seashelle Breeze. Then something catches me in the shoulder. A knife. Luckily, it was my left shoulder. I turn, holding the whip and smash it down on the threat. It's Breeze, her head cracked open on a stone and bleeding. Then something jumps onto my back. My already-weakened arm drops the whip.

Everest Tinder's POV:

I run down and slap the whip numerous times onto Jay. He falls, bleeding, but I won't let him just get away like that, not for killing Starry.

Zelda Beckett's POV:

Ash Rowan has died. His body lies in a puddle on the ground. My eyes scan the clearing. Then I see Everest whipping Jay with his own whip. Then the whip lodges in his eye.

Omigosh.

With a horrible wet noise, Jay's eye pops out of his head, stuck on a barb. I feel like puking, but I don't. I run up and spear Everest right through the back so it comes out her stomach. She screams and it's a horrifying sound. The scream is followed by two cannons. I look around.

Clarrisse Shine's POV:

I whip my head to the side and see Bone attacking the boy from 11. I run down to help, but he's already got him, and kills him easily with a sword. I just have time to look behind me when the knife catches me right in the face. I scream, realizing it'll be the last sound I ever hear.

Bone Scart's POV:

"KESTREL!" I yell. She darts back into the trees. "GET BACK HERE!" I know she won't so shaking my fist at her like an angry old lady won't help much.

Zelda Beckett's POV:

I'm sick of it. The blood. The screams. The looking around. I'm sick of it, ALL OF IT! So I do the thing that first enters my head. I throw a spear at the closest target: Bone Scart. He crumples to the dust. Who would know death was that quick.

"CON-GRA-DU-LA-TIONS, ALL YOU LIVING PEOPLE IN THE BLACK SHIRTS THERE! YOU KNOW, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE STORE WHILE I WAS GETTING MY PRECIOUS YOGURT... BUT ANYWAY, WE HAVE OUR VICTORS."
