A fight to the death, with a twist...

Hey guys. Now, those who were in my very 1st games would know that the layout was standard, at least, for a Hunger Games. But I've decided to make this games more exciting, and what's more, literally involving all those who participate.

Yes, for this year's annual Hunger Games, users from all over the wiki get the chance to battle it out, and quest for fame. The submission form will still look the same, as per the last Games, but this time, the information you put down will be about YOU. If you don't remember what to include in the form, refer to my last Games.

May the ODDS be EVER in your favor...

The Chariot Rides

District 1 - Clove and Aerial C

CLOVE'S POV

I feel so alive as Aerial and I pass the crazy crowd on the chariot. The prestine white of the paint goes well with my showy, pale green dress and amethyst earrings.

The volume of the Capitol is hammering, and somehow, I don't regret the pleasant shivers that are running slowly but deliberately through me. However, this stops immediately when Aerial leans in close and places his lips at my ear.

"You know if you don't join the Career pack, you're dead," he whispers, and a surge of hatred courses through my whole body as I know just how much he enjoys inflicting pain.

"Shut. Up." I say through my teeth, and instantly I feel terrible, for some part of me refuses to let go of the notion that the Games have already started to change me.

District 2 - Quinn and Nate

NATE'S POV

My brother wouldn't even make it to the actual Games, I think, staring around at the howling citizens of the Capitol from my district's chariot. Quinn and I are more than just presentable in our waistbelts with empty canteen and knee-level military boots.

While I don't mind the Capitol and everything, I still understand why Districts 5-12 pretty much hate its guts. And I respect that.

This is my primary reason for taking my brother's place in the Games. Because he's entirely too much like me, and at his age, that could have killed him.

District 3 - Necterine and Movie

NECTERINE'S POV

"What's your strategy?" Movie asks me as our chariot pulls away from the other tributes and out into the hub of the Capitol. It's a weird question for him to be asking, since he looks entirely sincere, but I don't really trust him enough to answer honestly.

"I don't know." I take my time thinking through my nexrt words. "My main priority will probably be survival, not killing." Movie begins to nod thoughtfully, causing the lights fixed to his jumpsuit to make me dizzy, but then he says, "You're lying." I look away, biting my lip, but then I feel him slide a little closer to me.

"Allies?" he says, and for a moment I don't know what to think. God, this guy is so confusing, I think, but as I look back at him I decide to accept his request.

"Okay."

District 4 - Leshawna and Limaheights

LIMAHEIGHT'S POV

The first thing I think as the first scream pierces my ears is, Wow, Le-shaw-na. She's decked out in the prettiest deep-sea blue, strapless number and of course, the classic fishnets that bring out the best in every girl from District 4.

"Looking good, Lesh," I say nonchalantly, as though we've been friends our whole lives.

"Please," Leshawna snorts dismissively. "We both know you're just saying that while secretly admiring yourself and wishing the crowds were bigger so you could seduce more ladies." I stare at her blatantly, and she rolls her eyes at me. "I know your plan in the Arena, and trust me, you'd better hope some of those strong guys don't find you, because the only defense you'll have will be that of idiotic, self-absorbed brats."

I inch as far away as the limited space allows and try to clear my head. How in hell is this girl so perceptive? And, ouch, cynical?

District 5 - Everdeen and Prezziesnow

EVERDEEN'S POV

I'm feeling a little miffed as I imagine just how horrible Prezzie and I must look. Our suits are designed to work in exactly the same way as those metal balls that make your hair stand on end. The collective groans of different areas of the crowds around us grate on me, and I wish I could just go home. Even watching someone else in my place would be better than this. Yeah, let's just forget the part about the bloodbath that happens later, I think bitterly and I'm not surprised to see my district partner's face mirroring mine, his lip curled in disgust.

"This is worse than Brick Merlack's costume last year," he mutters, and I can't help but agree.

District 6 - Rueflower and Wolverine

WOLVERINE'S POV

"Ugh, these pants are itchy..."

"Hey, at least we're not dressed up in hospital truck suits."

"True, that. But maybe some sleek sports car would've been nice."

"To you, maybe. Personally, I'd go for a pink buggy. Muuuuuch better than some shiny, black thing with a low hood..."

This is the banter that's going on between Rue and I; I'm starting to really enjoy her company, and I can't help but laugh at that last comment.

"So, what did you say your name was again?" she enquires. "I think you said it on the train, but I probably zoned out." I laugh.

"It's Wolverine." As my name passes my lips, the grin drops from her face almost immediately. Her expression grows cold, and she starts to edge away.

"Stay away from me," she spits, and my head whirls with hurt and absolute confusion.

District 7 - Clove and TDR

CLOVE'S POV

My mind's spinning with giddiness as TDR and I make the crowds go ballistic with him as the famous woodcutter in that Red Riding Hood tale, and me as his wife. It's such a good choice of styling, really - all thanks to those two Capitol people, Marietta and Nathaniel - as most would expect us to dress up as trees or something.

"Thank you!" I shout out to the Capitol, and as I give waves the pace picks up. And it's not just the rowdiness of the Capitol I'm talking about. My heartbeat quickens as TDR takes my hand, and I'm not sure its from the Games fever or something else entirely.

I will never forget today.

District 8 - Skybender and Mopping

MOPPING'S POV

Ugh, this is horrible. Last year, the tributes from Eight wore tie-dye, but I swear, I'm about to lose it when I glance down at the glittering shirt I'm wearing. I get that those stupid stylists were experimenting with new fabrics, but this is just over the top.

"Want to help me mutiny against the stylist-choosing policy they've got here in the Capitol?" I say teasingly to Sky while hoping some day someone would revolt against it. She laughs, a genuine smile on her face.

"Oh sure," she says, cracking a grin as she puts sarcasm into her words. "Let's just stroll up to the officials and go, "Hey, your stylists are just awful, so make sure you get some which don't embarrass us, why don't you?"

I shake with laughter, and as I look at Sky, I think about how she actually pulls off her dress. She looks... really good.

District 9 - Iluvgale and Rockman

ILUVGALE'S POV

Good god, am I glad that our stylists decided to go with colour, not texture, else I'd be wearing something close to sandpaper right now. I don't really mind that I'm wearing a straw-coloured skirt and light brown blouse, and, looking at Rockman, I suppose he doesn't care much either.

I don't really know what to think at this point. I mean, should I relish this moment and go all out, have fun with these citizens of the Capitol? Or should I just sit here, and not interact with them at all, because I hate them so much?

Gosh, this is hard, but as I flick my gaze towards Rockman, I realise he's already made his choice. He's a hater.

District 10 - Fire and Joe

JOE'S POV

I don't even think twice about targeting the girl beside me. Sure she looks strong, athletic, but she's still a girl.

"Think you'll be able to survive out there, in the Arena?" I ask, trying to be casual. Fire stares at me for a moment, and then she nods. I laugh bursts from my mouth, and her eyebrows arch.

"Thank you," I manage to choke out between my fits of laughter, and I think she's ready to hurl me - or try - off the chariot.

"For what?" she demands, eyes narrowed.

"Making yourself my first target."

District 11 - TomGirl and HGR

TOMGIRL'S POV

I'm sick with anxiety as I sit beside HGR. I know what I'm good at: fishing, weaving, sword-fighting, and I also realise that when the time comes, I'll have to use my skills for bad. More likely than not, I will kill someone in that Arena. And it most likely won't be intentional.

"Why am I here?" I say, so softly I doubt HGR can hear me. "Why do I have to give my skills up to the Games, and probably die alone?"

"That right there is basically questioning their sanity," HGR says suddenly, referring to the Gamemakers and President Snow. "Sanity which they don't have."

My mind feels foggy, and my eyes close with sudden tiredness.

District 12 - The Storm Rider and Anna

THE STORM RIDER'S POV

"Big crowds, huh?" Anna says to me, trying to make conversation with me. I don't even turn my head to look at her; I just stare directly ahead, face emotionless. But, to my immense chagrin, she just keeps talking.

"...Perhaps we can, you know, team up?"

That does it. I face her full on, and give her a look so terrible I think she seriously shrinks away in fear.

"I don't team up with anyone," I growl, my voice hard. "Even if you were a strong Career, an asset, I wouldn't give a damn, alright?" I fix her with a steady glare. I see a tear leaking out of my eye, and I grunt dismissively as I turn back around in the seat. If you see a rabid dog, do you go out and pet it, or do you leave it alone? I think as the stupid crowds cheer around me.

The Training Centre

The Careers

District 1 to 4 size each other up, deciding who will form the official Career pack.

"Come on, Limaheights!" One of the brawnier tributes, Aerial says, a dangerous note in his voice which really means he's saying, Come with us, or suffer with a knife in your eye. Limaheights doesn't back down.

"No thanks," he says coolly, much to the surprise of the others.

Aerial smiles and turns to Limaheights's district partner, Leshawna.

"How about it, girl?" His smile screams malice. "Just because you're friend here doesn't want to cooperate doesn't mean you don't."

Leshawna gives him an icy look. "First off, the guy's not my friend." She stares around the pack. "And second, sure, you could all just target me as the first to kill right here and now, but why would you deny yourselves some small, cowardly tribute with no face?"

Silence.

Leshawna's head flips in disgust as she walks away, and then everyone starts arguing.

"Enough!" Aerial bellows, and then he grabs a nearby spear and sends it so it shoots just past the girl from Ten, Fire.

"I'm done with you," he hisses, and then he stomps away, leaving the others questioning the already laid down alliances...

FIRE'S POV

I'm feeling so many emotions rip through me as the spear goes past my head. Anger. Confusion. Adrenaline-rush. And just a ripple of fear.

I see that brutish boy, Aerial, stalking away from the other potential Careers, and then the urge to giggle at their bemused expressions is so strong that I take a step forward in their direction.

But then, I decide to have some fun. I get a good hold on my weapon - a silver recurve bow - and nock an arrow from the sheath slung across my frame. I aim it straight for Clove's heart, and draw back my deadly arrow, putting on a dead serious expression. I hear the gasps, the whispers which come across as half admiring, half damning.

Clove's nearly beside herself. God, she thinks I'm really going to do it, I think, laughter bubbling inside me.

"Oh, Clove, I'd kill to be you right now," I say breezily, and I don't care that those other tributes are coming towards me, shouting obscenities, that I've made myself a target.

Bring it on, wolf pack, I think as I turn back towards the real target in front of me.

SKY'S POV

I'm checking my snare to see whether I can improve it when I see two Careers,

and the guy from Three, approach me.

"Here to make fun of me?" I say, not moving my gaze from the intricate snare I have rigged up. "To warn me to run fast in case I literally lose my head at the Cornucopia?"

"No," Necterine says quietly. She moves a little closer; Distrct 3 keeps his distance. "We've decided we don't want to be it that Career group." This startles me out of eyeing my snare, and I face them full-on.

"What are you saying?" I can't believe my next words. "You want an alliance?"

"Yeah," the guy says. Examining his face, I remember that his name is Movie.

"Fine," I say, turning back to my snare; I know my face is full of suspicion. But what else can I say? It's not like I can threaten to kill them if they turn on me. I'd be dead before the day was done.

The Arena

For this year's Annual Hunger Games, all tributes will be stationed at twenty-four respective doors of a metal cylinder. The doors will be locked, and all you will have to open (or smash your way through it, if you're strong enough) them will be a short metal rod.

Basically, you're going to have to use your smarts to get into the Arena, and no, you don't have to have tech experience to solve this.

Once you successfully get into the Arena - which is confined to a relatively small area - tributes will then have to make their way to a cliff by climbing up rope ladders along the side. Be warned: there are only five rope ladders, so be sure to watch your back, because you're going to need to.

The Cornucopia will be there, packed with things. BUT, there's a twist. The tributes will only find materials at the Horn to MAKE weapons, and food will be found later on in the Games. However, ONE lucky tribute will find something which will kill a huge amount of tributes.

May the ODDS be EVER in your favor.

It is time to announce the start of the 2nd Annual Hunger Games!

The Games - DAY ONE

MOPPING'S POV

I feel like a bit of an idiot as I stand on my metal plate, waiting for that blasted minute to be up. We're all standing around a pretty big metal cylinder, each of us at a door. Reaching forward- and carefully not to slip an inch off the plate - I grab the handle and twist sharply. Locked, as expected.

Man, do I wish I was Everdeen! I think, much to my own annoyance. But I couldn't help it; she was such a wiz at this kind of thing, she'd figure it out with her eyes closed! I stare at the short but pointed rod at my feet, It's such an inconsequential thing, yet it's the only thing I've got. I glance over at everyone else, and most are just as stumped as I am.

Bang! The minute's up, and I step off my plate and to the door. I pick up the rod and start to run my fingers over, but then I notice my sister, Evedeen is only two people away from me. She's motioning with her hands, and a smile spreads over my face as I begin to copy her movements...

MOVIE'S POV

I examine the rod with extreme detail, trying to find some sort of pressure lock which will open into a lockpicking contraption or something. After running my fingers down the thing several times, though, it's clear this is not how it works.

A voice starts in my head, jolting me into a state of confusion. Maybe you've got to snap the rod somehow. Maybe there's something in it. Then I'm thinking, what the heck? How am I supposed to cut a metal rod in half? But then I see it.

The handle of the door we're supposed to open seems to be sparkling slightly, but I gasp. It's made of diamond, and diamond, as any fool would know, can cut anything.

I quickly run the rod back and forth across the handle, make quick but effective cuts in the metal until it falls to the ground in two pieces. I shake one half, and a shudder rolls through me as nothing tips into my hand. But, I force myself to stay calm as I take the other half.

I shake, and then I see a small glass vial tipped into my hands. It's some special type of acid acid; I smile as I tip the substance over the handle and it disintegrates, leaving me free passage into the Arena...

JOE'S POV

I thin, evil smile contorts my mouth as I smash the temple in of the tribute next to me with my metal rod. As the figure goes down with a groan, I recognise the tribute immediately as TDR, but I don't give a thought to the dead as I lean my heavy frame against the door.

"Reckon you can smash this thing?" I ask myself under my breath. The answer is simple.

"I don't reckon it. It'll happen."

CRACK. The door groans, and I smile at the huge dent I've made in it, contoured to the shape of my body. One more run in will do the trick.

CRA-CRACK! The doors smashes to the ground, and then I'm pelting towards the large cliff face ahead of me, so eager to get a weapon into my hands.

CLOVE'S POV (District 1)

I'm on a rope ladder, competing with that brute, Joe, to get to that golden horn first. Of course, he goads me.

"You know I'll get there first," he says, eyes glinting in that stupid way of his. "And then I'll bludgeon you, and anyone else who decides to come here."

"You know, for a guy with a big head, you sure are stupid," I return back angrily, my rage allowing me to vault even faster up the ladder. The thick skull sees this, and grunts, trying to keep pace with me. It's not use.

I get to the top first, and as I run straight for the Cornucopia, I scan the mouth. And the only weapons I see there are knives, and there's only about two or three of them that I can make out from here. Nothing else. The rest is just arrowheads, wood and more wood.

"What the hell," I hear Joe behind me, and I'm glad this new development has caused him to stop for a moment too. But then I pick the pace back up and move for the horn, hoping against hope there's something deeper within the mouth.

FIRE'S POV

I'm jubilant as I dig my fingernails into the cliff face and haul myself up; the puzzle was a breeze, and my good eyesight as allowed me to see the piles of wood and few knives that ring the Cornucopia.

Of course. Here's the twist of the Games, presenting itself," I think, confident in my knowledge on how to make a bow and arrows. Come to think of it, I'll also have to fashion some sort of sheath too.

"Ha, there's a lot of wood there!" I call out, watching Joe and Clove stare around at the limited choice and at each other warily. They whip their heads round, and as I reach them and start to gather some wood, they nod at each other.

I realise too late that I'm one of the few tributes who've - so far - managed to reach and climb up the cliff face. The two tributes tackle me to the ground, and as Clove's fist connects with my face I feel myself slipping away.

ROCK'S POV

I watch from behind a small spruce in the area; at least eight tributes are fighting over the rope ladders, and the rest that have made it through the puzzle at the beginning have decided to hack away at each other using their bare fists and metal rods. Mopping and Everdeen are two of them.

"We should get up the rope ladders now," Mopping shouts, back to back with Everdeen to cover her. "There can't be many more left to come out!"

"No, we can't risk letting our guard down until everyone's either dead or moved forward," Everdeen reasons, swiping at a tribute from District Nine. "Then we'll get to the horn and pick over what's left!" After a moment, Mopping nods, and then they're back in battle mode.

"Hey," someone says from behind me. In terror, I turn slowly around. Very surprisingly, it's Aerial; he decided to participate in the bloodbath at the base of the cliff instead of at the Cornucopia. "Don't be afraid, I'll make this quick and painless, I guarentee." He steps towards me. "Besides, I gotta get back to the Cornucopia."

So he's been and gone, I think, but this is wiped from my mind as he takes a knife out from behind his back. I realise just how filthy his lie about a quick and painless death is as I'm knocked against the tree and his knife cuts slowly but deeply down my face.

ANNA'S POV

The horror very nearly consumes me as I out of the corner of one eye I see Fire being beaten to death by some Careers, and Prezziesnow being taken out with the other. I start to lift my feet off the rope ladder when suddenly and arm grabs my left foot.

Instinctively, I shake, writhing in my attempt to lose the person who's just grabbed me. It works, and as he or she falls off - I didn't look to see who it was - I get my footing on the cliff, but I don't head towards the horn and those brutish Careers.

No, I'm going the wide rock on the far west side, where I see the entrance into a cave. Looks like the only place to go, I think, forgetting about the Cornucopia. After all, there's nothing worth remembering over there.

I also don't remember about the tribute that I so crazily shook off my foot who fell to his death off the cliff face.

LIMAHEIGHTS'S POV

I sit down in front of the door, dejected. Alone. And most of all, feeling incredibly stupid. The others had seemed to figure it out so fast, either taking hints from other tributes or just working it out themselves. I'll die before I even reach the Arena, I think miserably, when there's abrupt movement near me.

I see Leshawna, my district partner, edging closer to me through one of the busted doors. She has an extremely weird expression on her face, some of it tinged with regret but also a startling determination.

"I can't have the boy tribute of District Four dying on me, as much as I hate and want to kill him - in my mind," she says, muttering all the while. But my mood brightens as she beckons me to come with her.

So this is what the connection of a district really feels like.

DEATHS

1. FIRE - beaten to death by Joe and Clove.

2. ROCK - tortured and bled to death by Aerial.

3. WOLVERINE - fell to his death after being shaken off by Anna.

4. TOMGIRL - bludgeoned to death by Mopping and Everdeen.

5. TDR - bludgeoned to death by Joe.

6. PREZZIESNOW - taken out by Nate and Quinn.

~END OF DAY ONE~

DAY TWO

NECTERINE'S POV

Movie, Sky and I all managed to collect some supplies - which mostly are made of wood, wood, wood - and get to cover to organise everything. There were no backpacks or drawstring bags in sight, meaning that we've either got to go hunting for food ourselves, or it's going to come in some other weird, convoluted way; that's basically how the Capitol operates.

"Ugh, looks like we're going to have to make some weapons, ourselves," Movie says as he examines the pile of sturdy sticks, arrowheads and some string. I immediately think of a bow and arrows when I remember that none of us have any experience making them - I've heard its an extremely fiddly and difficult practise. Too bad our metal rods are long gone, I think bitterly.

"Well, let's start with some arrows then," Sky roughly picks out an arrowhead and starts to work getting it fixed to a stick. Movie and I get down to business, squatting to get to our materials, when a taunting voice comes from behind us.

"You're dead, all of you."

I turn, and I see with envy and admiration at Clove - the girl from One - with her makeshift but still good-looking bow loaded and directed at my heart.

Uh oh.

She draws back the string and lets the arrow fly. I close my eyes.

EVERDEEN'S POV

It's night, and Mopping and I are exhausted after the massacre near the cliff face. We can't afford to spend any more energy; we've got to build up our strength for the days to come.

"So hungry," my brother complains, and I would have reprimanded him if I hadn't been agreeing with him for the past, what, three hours?

"Here, have some bark," I reply wearily, and as I pass a square of the stuff to him he shudders. We both smile at that. At least water hasn't been a problem, since we've come across many little pools. Just from the Arena's setup (at least, what we've seen of it) - I can tell food's coming, just in a very roundabout fashion. There's nothing to hunt out here for miles.

After a few cups - yes, made of wood - of water each, we decide that he settles down for the night while I keep watch. As he gets to sleep, I replay the cannons fired yesterday - six tributes in total. I prop myself up against a tree and keep a firm grip on my metal rod (or what's left of it, anyway). But out here, it's definitely more valuable then the wood we've been provided.

I make the plan to start on my bow and sheath of arrows in the morning.

QUINN'S POV

"Nate, look!" He casts his eyes to where I'm pointing; it's the cave I saw Anna disappear into. Different to most of the terrain, the cave seems like a very good option. Maybe we'll even find some food waiting for us!

"Let's go," he says, and then he does a quick scout around the area to make sure no-one else is around. I head off once he gives me the thumbs up, and he covers us, holding out the shield we'd spent over an hour making. It's made of bark which we tied together with some string we found at the Horn. Actually, that's an understatement. Heaps and heaps of string. We also had to use some sap we luckily discovered pouring out of a tree as a glue, and it seemed to be strong - at least, so far.

The cave tunnel isn't as long as we expected. Sure, it curved this way and that, but after just five minutes of walking, we come out the other side. I cry out in joy, not caring about anyone else, as I see the huge table laden with food out in the open field. Roast chicken. Potatoes. Lamb chops in mushroom gravy.

I run flat out for the table, but slowed when I realise that Nate and I were not alone. Anna is there, piling a bark container with heaps of food. She looks like she's already eaten, and is taking some stuff to go. I raise my wooden spear, but Nate shakes his head.

"Let her be." I stard at him in outrage, preparing a full scale argument, when I see his finger point slowly to some contraption in her pocket. My line of thought connects with his, and as we let Anna go on her way, I begin to wonder.

Dangerous.

"Alright, but we'd better get something to eat before the others get here," I say, and run for the food again. As I reach for a drunkstick, I forget about Anna's strange device and think to myself, Nate and I couldn't be in a better place.

I shouldn't have forgotten about it

ANNOUNCER: Most of you need food; well, you'll have to fight for it. Go back to the Cornucopia, and some distance away you'll see a cave. On the other side, there's a feast. But you'll have to eat and get out fast; good luck...

LESHAWNA'S POV

Limaheights and I glance at each other as the Announcer says we've got to go back to the Horn and go through some cave to get food.

"Well, we're okay on water, there's nothing keeping us here; so let's go," I start walking, not really caring if Limaheights follows me. But of course he tags along. I have half a mind to get rid of him.

Luckily, we hadn't gone that far from the Horn, and so it's not much trouble finding our way back to it. I spy the cave, and immediately start jogging. We enter the cave, and after some twists, I see a field. With a massive table of delicious stuff.

"Awesome," Limaheights says, moving ahead of me, but I roughly push him out of the way and head to the table myself. Just as I get my hands on a juicy leg of chicken, Limaheights tugs on my shoulder.

"What is it?" I say irritably. "You better have a good reason to - " My words are cut short as I look towards the cave. Aerial and a tribute known only as the The Storm Rider are here.

"Crap, the strong men are here," I say, getting out one half of the metal rod I received at the beginning of the Games and facing them. Limaheights flanks my right side, and for once I'm sort of glad he's here. Maybe I won't kill him after all.

But then again, maybe I will. It's an instantaneous movement, and as the rod goes through Limaheights's chest, I see the temporary shock on both guys' features, and I use this to my advantage. I leap to the table, gather up as much food as I can, and sprint away. Quinn and Nate, the other tributes there, stare at me as well.

I'll get some food another way, I think, and I wink at Anna as I notice her behind a tree. She's got some electronic thing in her hand, and to me it looks like a detonator.

Blow the legs off them all, I mouth gleefully, and then I dart away, knowing a big amount of people are about to die. And I'm not one of them.

ILUVGALE'S POV

I barrel into Aerial, who's blocking the other side of the cave, just as an explosion goes off. The District Two tributes are the first to die, since they're at the table, which is probably the site of the explosive. Aerial and the other guy in front of me are thrown forward, and in my disgust I notice that they're both covered in blood and dirt. Luckily for me, those two were my shields, and as I shrink back in fear I slap myself. Good, I'm still me, I've still got all my body parts intact, I think gratefully, but my rumbling stomach reminds me of the terrible fact that all the food is gone.

"Anna!" I utter the name angrily; I'm observant, and even with all the fighting going on at the beginning of the Games, I saw her disappear into the cave. Chances are she found some explosive and the thing to set it off, and then after she got the food she needed decided to kill the rest of us actually fast enough to get to the table.

I go back the way I came, cursing all the while.

NECTERINE'S POV

And open them. My eyes bulge as I see Movie in front of me, his wound rapidly spreading blood all over him. Clove looks shocked as well, and for some reason, she can't look anymore and she retreats, running as fast as she can.

"Movie," I gasp, and Sky comes to his side as well. We both know there's no hope in him surviving.

Why did he do that?

THE STORM RIDER'S POV

I'm alive. I'm bloodied, and I can't walk, but I'm alive.
