Well, with all this Chat drama going on, and ideas being thrown around on how to fix it, i have produced an idea! A legit idea that is actually thought out and isn't a joke! Big surprise coming from me...

Well one of the more popular solutions to the chat problem that has been surfacing up, only to be flushed back down by a different idea, then popping up again is setting a minimal edit count to be able to join chat. Now this may work, but one problem with this is that it would promote pointless edits until people CAN reach that goal so they can use the chat function.

Now that idea there made little baby ideas in my mind, some never fully producing, some being fails that just died at birth, and the one idea that survived, happens to support the "minimal edit count" idea.

Believe it or not, a page could get to that point where it is just perfect and can no longer have a constructive edit that would actually change the page (this meaning, that i am excluding the run-on sentance or the period where there should be a question mark) One admin funtion is the ability to lock a page, so no one can edit it. If the admins would determine that a page was at its peak potential, they could lock the page and make sure it wouldn't be hit with that one, terrible edit, that makes us all cringe "OH AND HE IS SO MUCH HOTTER THEN GALE. TEAM PEETA ALL THE WAY"

Now this would take hard work, and would be a temp solution because when catching fire releases, or comes closer to the release date, we might have to go back and edit that sacred Peeta page, because we find out he DOES in fact lose his leg but they dont show it until then. That would be the time when we could either open the page up, because we know the new wave is coming, or we could keep it locked, because we are just that paranoid.

This concludes my Idea and i myself think it could work, it would just need a lot of dedication to go and either make that page perfect so we can lock it, or decide it should be locked as soon as possible, because every second counts.

Opinions are greatfully accepted! :)
