While the film adaptation of The Hunger Games is still awhile way (March 23, 2012), news about the film's soundtrack has already begun to surface.
In a first time collaboration, the soundtrack will pair up the legends of T. Bone Burnett and Danny Elfman. In case you aren't familiar with either of these two - T. Bone Burnett is a twelve time Grammy award winner and Danny Elfman is also a multiple time award winner who has worked on such films as Spider-Man and Alice in Wonderland.
It's difficult to imagine that these two will make for a poor pairing. It seems that all kinds of care and affection is being put into this movie. In fact, Tracy McKnight told The Hollywood Reporter that the series
“has worldwide mass appeal, but it’s also sophisticated, cerebral, soulful and rebellious. We needed a composer who can translate these qualities musically, and we have not one but two incredible artists in an absolutely thrilling first time ever collaboration.”
What do you think of this duo and the care that Lionsgate is putting into this film adaptation?
