Wingman1 Talkpage (Archive 1)

Hi I didn't vandalize the boy page it's true that the little boy Katniss had is named rye because Suzanne Collins said so. Just google it maybe? She answered in her twitter account. TheBestDaysofUrLife (talk) 12:23, September 18, 2013 (UTC)

I really promise I don't want to be rude I just know that the boys name is Rye and the girls name is Willow. Suzzane Collins (if you follow her on Twitter) specfically said so. I swear, I would not make this up. And I do want to help this wiki, seeing as its pretty small and could use more users and such. This is one of many sources: or you can see it on her Twitter, or just Google it on the internet. Hope this clears things up! Sorry if I sounded rude or offensive at all!

So, you don't use accurate information. I'm sorry but maybe this is why this is such a small wiki. I really did want to help...but it's hard when the admin has a spelling problem and won't take accurate sources. How accurate can you get if the author said so themselves? I'm gone, you can block me but it won't matter. Bye now! :3 TheBestDaysofUrLife (talk) 02:10, September 19, 2013 (UTC)

Panem Flag

you keep removing my image of the flag of panem on the Panem page. You said that it was fanmade, but it used all the time in both movies. why do you keep taking it down?

Erm... NO

I wasn't vandalising the District 8 female (74th HG) page, I was actually removing false information from the page. Look at my contributions and you'll see. Thanks for your CONSIDERATION.

OK, sorry, and thanks for the warning. Won't be editing pages any time soon.

using pagename

since i can't find policy that dictates this, why are you guys intentionally adding {{PAGENAME}} for the name parameter in the infoboxes? that has absolutely 0 impact and is used for templates. can i please get an answer to this and why there is not policy that dictates article syle? its annoying already that thefirejay who left me the warning ignored me on this not only on talk page but also community central chat when i offered to discuss. Dartmaster8 (talk) 05:23, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

PAGENAME is not a template. it is a keyword as i have explained to thefirejay. that still does not answer my question regarding source mode.

Dartmaster8 (talk) 05:37, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

could you join chat please? Dartmaster8 (talk) 05:39, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

alright please calm down. normally when a certain style is used there is policy that goes along with it. thefirejay alarmed me by leaving said warning without linking to written policy. this is all that i want to clear up as i do not see any regarding this. i apologize for the removal and did try to check existing policy. thefirejay joined community central chat and when i attempted to discuss with him, he ignored me. that does not sound like good communications despite him being an admin.

I have gone back to replace those, I do want to point out that simply undoing an edit that fixed a lot is a bit disrespectful to those helping out. fixing all those image errors took a lot of time. there is no reason to have both thumb and a pixel size for images, the latter will override. i did not know you guys wanted pages in source mode since that's what keeping PAGENAME does.

PAGENAME as a template does not exist, see my link. this is a built in magic word for template use though at the same time i can understand using it in articles due to "page moves". here is a link explaining PAGENAME

again all i am saying is policy should be written for this otherwise it creates confusion. i am not that familiar with this wiki and since there was no guideline of any sort mentioning this, its hard to know something agreed upon by conseusus. you can't expect people to search the forum or blog archives for policy, that's taking things unrealistic. i am not trying to cause disagreement with anyone here, just understanding for everyone.

i have been in the exact same situation before, no policies aimed at getting rid of trouble makers allowed them to run wild since a block would only generate complaints of "no written policy exists therefore invalid". now even though that example is different it still applies to this situation.

i have also left PumPumPumpkin_:3 a message in case that firejay does not respond or intentionally ignores me. i know that staff won't do anything in this case. if anyone would like to discuss creation of a style policy that outlines how each article should be, i am interested. that would help since i do want to help in fixing the articles, i noticed that focus is mostly on blogs. Dartmaster8 (talk) 06:17, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

do you have time for chat? i see you here, it might be faster. i also just checked the forum, no indication of any consensus on this... i just want to see the link so that we can possibly discuss creating an article style, without anything to work with it just creates un-necesarry minor conflicts. Dartmaster8 (talk) 17:55, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

Your interlanguage link edit

Hi Wingman1,

I refer to this edit. I just noticed by chance that one of my bot edits was reverted. Please contact me when reverting one of my bot's edits in the future, to make sure I won't make the same mistake again. Because that's what happenend, my bot reverted your edit in the next cycle.

I don't understand the background of this revert, would you please explain it to me? Why do you need that code for an interlanguage link? It would be easy to adjust the bot to your conventions.
